10.1.3. About RA Notifications
The notifications covered in this chapter are for operations that occur on the CA. The RA subsystem,
however, also provides a method to send notifications to agents (or users) for certificate operations.
These RA notifications are configured, by default, as part of the RA profile. There are two types of
events that can trigger a notification:
• A new request is submitted or created (sent to agents)
• A request is accepted (sent to users)
The RA can send notifications to an agent whenever a request is submitted, if it is configured in the
RA profile. These RA notifications are sent to members of the specified RA group, such as the default
agents
group.
request.user.create_request.1.assignTo=agents
request.user.create_request.1.plugin=PKI::Request::Plugin::AutoAssign
request.user.create_request.1.mailTo=
request.user.create_request.1.plugin=PKI::Request::Plugin::EmailNotification
Other RA notifications alert the requester to indicate whether the request was approved or rejected.
request.user.approve_request.1.mailTo=$created_by
request.user.approve_request.1.plugin=PKI::Request::Plugin::EmailNotification
Configuring notifications as part of RA enrollment profiles is covered in
Section 2.3.3, “Configuring the
Request Queues”
.
