8.4 Data input format
A computer connected via the data interface (SBI communication) can send control
commands to the in order to control the weighing or application functions.
All commands have a shared frame format (data input format). They start with the
character
ESC
(ASCII: 27) and end with the character sequence
CR
(ASCII: 13) and
LF
(ASCII: 10). Their length varies from min. 4 characters (1 command character) up to max.
7 characters (4 command characters). When sending texts, this igure may also be higher.
The commands shown in the following table must each have the frame format ESC … CR
LF added.
Example
: The output command "P" ("Send display value") must be sent to the . The
character sequence "ESC P CR LF" is sent for this purpose.
