Position Mode:
Description:
Sets the ATS-6501 positioning mode to the desired value. Default setting is
dynamic. Static users should use the auto mode if the antenna position is not known and
manual if the position is known.
Syntax
: position_mode (dymanic / auto / manual)
Command Example:
ATS-6501>position_mode auto
Query:
ATS-6501>settings gps:positioning:mode
auto
Position Period:
Description:
This is the amount of time the system will use to provide the antenna position
when the position_mode is auto. Default period is 12 hours. Users can also set the value to
minutes using the (m) option. It is recommended this period be for a at least 4 hours.
Syntax
: position_period [nt] (m)
Command Example:
ATS-6501>position_period 10
Query:
ATS-6501>settings gps:positioning:auto_hours
10
Note:
If the system starts up in auto mode or is switched into the auto mode from dymanic
or manual the system will begin averaging over this period to determine the position.
While the system is performing this function a countdown timer will show how much time
remains before the system determines and fixes its position (status gps:auto_positioning).
Once the period expires the antenna position will be fixed (
status gps:position:fixed = true
)
and the system will generate a RINEX file in the rinex directory.
PPS:
Description:
Allows the operator to set the PPS outputs on individual ports on the 4394A
Card. The ATS-6501 will respond with “OK” when the settings have been accepted. The
system will generate an error message if the operator attempts to enter an invalid setting.
Syntax
: pps [slot #] [port#] [pulse_period] [pulse_width]
Command Examples:
ATS-6501>pps 1 2 1e-6 5e-7
Query:
ATS-6501> settings hardware:outputs:slots:1
