Event Indication
In this context, an
error
refers to the indication of an
event
. The indication of an
event is realized via hardware, i.e. via red or blinking LEDs and additionally via soft-
ware, i.e. via Web Interface, via an SNMP trap, or by polling the corresponding
SNMP object(s). The hardware indication via LEDs is described in chapters 3.1.1 &
3.2.25. The indication via Web Interface is subject of chapters 5.5.3 & 5.5.5; the
indication via SNMP is explained in chapters 5.9.4.1 & 5.9.4.4. The software event
indication (i.e. the error codes) is described in the following.
6.1
Software Event Indication
The device is capable to detect several types of events that are reported to the
Web Interface and to the M&C system. Either the M&C system has to poll the
device for these errors or it is informed via an alarm trap, assuming that the
specific SNMP trap is enabled.
6.1.1
Power Events
The power supply of the device is monitored. In case that a power line event, that a
defective power supply module, or that a communication problem with the power
module is detected, a corresponding event is generated.

the events above will be reported!
6.1.2
Switch Module Events
The communication with (and the functionality of) the (up to 16) switch modules is
monitored. In case that a malfunction is detected, an event is generated.

Input Module Events
If the communication with the LED/push button units of the device panel (please
refer to chapter 3.1.1) fails, an event is generated. There is one unit per four
channels (four channel push buttons with two LEDs "
