4.5.1 ip domain-lookup
To enable the IP Domain Naming System (DNS)-based host name-to-address translation,
use the
ip domain-lookup
global configuration command. To disable the DNS, use the
no
form of this command

To define a default domain name (<

>) that the software uses to complete unqualified
host names (names without a dotted-decimal domain name), use the
ip domain-name
global configuration command. To remove default domain name, use the
no
form of this
command
.
Default domain used to complete unqualified host names. Do not include the initial period
that separates an unqualified name from the domain name.
<name
> is a string of 1 to 255 characters.

4.5.3 ip name-server
To set the available name servers, use the
ip name-server
global configuration command.
<
server-address
> is IP addresses of the name server. Up to 8 servers can be defined in one
command, or by using multiple commands.
The preference of the servers is determined by
the order they were entered.
To remove a name server, use the
no
form of this command.
