Service Mode Structure
Service mode commands are not generally meant to be used as part of
normal operation. Some commands are safe to use (such as the various
request commands) and will not disturb system operation. However, some
service mode commands are intended for use in system testing not
normal operation. These are commands allow the user to change system
limits (such as the “Set Exposure Settings Set Maximum Exposure time”
command). These commands should generally not be used, or at least be
used with extreme caution. These limits are set to protect the supply and
the X-Ray tube from damage due to improper programming. Commands
that modify system limits should not be used as part of normal
operation. See the individual command description for warnings.
4.5.1
Program Filament Limit
Description:
The host requests that the firmware change the Filament Limit.
Note: This command is intended for system testing. The
Filament limit is normally set to a safe value for a given X-Ray
tube. Increasing this value beyond the safe limit may allow
damage to the X-Ray tube. Once changed the new setting will
remain in effect until it is either changed again with this
command or the system is powered down, and up again.
Direction:
Host to supply
Syntax:
<STX><12><,><ARG><,><CSUM><ETX>
Where:
<ARG> = 0 - 4095 in ASCII format (0-4095 = 0-6.0A)
Example:
<STX>12,4095,<CSUM><ETX>
Response:
<STX><12><,><$><,><CSUM><ETX>
