Operation modes and modifications of the Basic AT
The behavior of the NOVOLAS Basic AT depends on the operation mode. For laser
emission the current setting must be higher than the laser diode threshold and the
current source must be enabled. Enabling the current source and calculation of
current are separate processes. Also, laser diode current can be dependent on
regulators, which can be activated and deactivated.
6.3.1 Current Setting Mode
The system possesses the following modes to set the laser current
Analogue Current Set Mode (Register 0=2)
In Analogue Current Set Mode the current will depend on the analogue input “Current
preset laser unit#X” of the Customer I/O. 1V corresponds to 10A. For high power line
beam lasers the current setting is changed to 1V corresponds to 15A. For the air
cooled laser module, 1V corresponds to 1A.

Wenn bei bitcodierten Registern ein Wert steht, der nicht in der Liste aufgeführt ist, bedeutet dies,
dass mehrere Fehler gemeinsam auftreten. Wert 160 in Register 120 beudeutet beispielsweise,
dass die Fehler CURRENT LIMIT und CURRENTSOURCE auftreten.
