When the ramp reaches the target value, it stops (
RampActive
= False) and
the internal timer starts.
10 If the target value changes, the timer is reset, and
RampActive
= True during
the change.
11 When the timer has run uninterrupted for a period equal to the time defined
by the parameter TimerTime, the highlighted segment is turned Off
(RampDone = True).
Notes:
• The values of the outputs
RampActive
and
RampDone
change according to the
text above. On the lines where there is no text enclosed in parenthesis, the value
of these outputs remain unchanged.
• Changing the controller mode from Auto to non-Auto when the ramp is active
terminates the ramp and freezes the Set Point at the current value. At the same
time
RampActive
is set to False, and
RampDone
is set to True.
Advanced Set Point Ramp
The Advanced Set Point Ramp function is only available on the ECA600 and
EMA60 controllers.
The Advanced Set Point Ramp block has two digital outputs,
RampDone
and
Ramp Active
. The block holds nine parameters,
RampMode
,
TimeUnit
,
RampSpeed
,
RampStart
and
StartValue
, and five
Time
and
Value
parameters.
The Advanced Set Point Ramp works as follows:
1
The Control Mode is non-Auto (usually Manual) (
RampActive
= False,
RampDone
= True).
2
The Control Mode is changed to Auto (
RampActive
=
True
,
RampDone
= False).
3
The Set Point is set to the value of the Process Value, or set to the value of
the
StartValue
parameter depending on the setting of the setting of the
RampStart
parameter.
4
If the Advanced Set Point Ramp is configured to start from the Process
Value, the rate of change of the Set Point is the same as the one defined by
the
StartValue
and the first Breaking Point.
