The FTP connection with the ADS closes, and you are returned to the DOS prompt prompt in the
Command Window.

Getting IDC Log Files
The following steps describe getting the IDC log files on to your laptop via FTP, using the Command
Window. Alternatively, you can use a graphical FTP client such as HummingBird FTP Client, CoreFTP or
FileZilla to get the IDC log files. The principles of getting the IDC log files are the same to those below
(i.e. IP address, username and password, file locations are all the same).
1. On your laptop, open a Command Window (
Start > Run
, then enter
cmd
and click
OK
).
The path of the Command Window will be
D:\Documents and Settings\<your SSO>
.
2. Create a new directory within
D:\Documents and Settings\<your SSO>
with the date format
YYMMDD, by entering:
mkdir YYMMDD
where YYMMDD represents the current date (e.g. 081117 for 17th November 2008).
3. Change into the
YYMMDD
directory, by entering:
cd YYMMDD
where YYMMDD represents the current date (e.g. 081117 for 17th November 2008).
4. Create an
IDC
directory within
D:\Documents and Settings\<your SSO>
\
YYDDMM
, by entering:
mkdir IDC
5. Change to the IDC directory, by entering:
cd IDC
6. Establish an FTP connection with IDC, by entering:
ftp 192.168.1.20
7. When prompted for a username and password to access the IDC via FTP, press the
<Return>
key.
8. Specify binary transfer mode for the FTP connection, by entering:
bin
9. Change to the
/idc
directory on the IDC, by entering:
cd /idc
10. Transfer the
errorlog.txt
file to your laptop, by entering:
get errorlog.txt
11. Transfer the
sensor.txt
file to your laptop, by entering:
get sensor.txt
12. Disconnect the current FTP session with the IDC by entering:
bye
The FTP connection with the IDC closes, and you are returned to the DOS prompt prompt in the
Command Window.
13. Close the command Window, by entering:
exit
