3.2.10.8 DEVICE.BAT.MODE
Parameter syntax
This parameter monitors the internal battery voltage. Based on the user specified
value, you may execute alarms (e.g. set the MAMBOII into a sleep mode) when the
battery drops to a minimum voltage (identified by the
Sys.Bat.eLow
event).
<mode>
It determines whether or not the MAMBOII device will continue operating even if
the external power is disconnected. It can be set to:
Value
Meaning
auto
Automatically switching between external power source
and internal battery power. If external power is removed
the power from the internal battery is automatically
supplied to your system. The system will see no interruption
of power and will continue to run. Once external power is
restored, the battery controller will use it to power your
system and recharge the batteries if needed. This setting
will prevent your system from shutting down when the
external power is removed.
disable
Only external power will be used to power your system. If
the external power is removed your system will shutdown
automatically.
always
Your system will always be powered from the internal
battery. If external power is present, it will be used to
recharge the internal battery. Nevertheless, the external
power should always be applied in this mode.
<min_charge>
Specifies the minimum voltage of battery power in volt at which the device will
generate a
Sys.Bat.eLow
event of battery low. Low battery event
(
Sys.Bat.eLow
) is fired when the device is on battery power and the battery
voltage drops to user specified value. It can be set to a value from
0
to
5
Volts.
By default, it is
3.55
V
.
How to set/get device configuration:
Set configuration
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,DEVICE.BAT.MODE=auto,3.7
Get configuration
$PFAL,Cnf.Get,DEVICE.BAT.MODE
Notes
•
In case of firmware update it is recommended to set this parameter to
DEVICE.BAT.MODE=
auto
and then update the firmware as usual.
