29.2.1
Overview
This specification describes the function of the Periodic Interrupt Timer block (PIT_RTI). The PIT is an
array of timers that can be used to raise interrupts and trigger DMA channels. On some devices it provides
a dedicated Real Time Interrupt Timer (RTI), which runs on a separate clock and can be used for system
wakeup.
29.2.2
Features
The main features of this block are:
•
One RTI (Real-Time Interrupt) timer to wakeup the CPU in stop mode
•
Timers can generate DMA trigger pulses
•
Timers can generate interrupts
•
All interrupts are maskable
•
RTI interrupt can be raised, even when the bus clock is switched off
