Printing from DCPS to the Colorwriter
Also note the value for P5. These DCPS print queues are configured to print jobs
without any job separation pages.
The first example shows you how to define the queue using the file
SYS$STARTUP:DCPS$STARTUP.COM if the printer and the OpenVMS
system are in the same zone. Information specific to setting up DCPS to use the
Colorwriter is shown in the following examples:
$ @sys$startup:dcps$execution_queue -
Colorwriter_A - ! P1 - Execution queue name
"""appletalk/Colorwriter LSR_Direct""" - ! P2 - Interconnect
-
! type and address
dcps_lib -
! P3 - Logical name for library(ies)
""-
! P4 - Default queue parameters
"/separate=(noflag,noburst,notrail)"- ! P5 - Default queue qualifiers
""-
! P6 - Communication speed(serial
-
!
devices only)
""-
! P7 - Device characteristics
""
! P8 - Verify on/off
The following example shows you how to define the queue if the printer and the
OpenVMS system are in different zones. In this case the printer is in zone
walden
pond
:
$ @sys$startup:dcps$execution_queue -
Colorwriter_B - ! P1 - Execution queue name
"""appletalk/Colorwriter LSR_Direct@walden pond""" - ! P2 - Interconnect
-
! type and address
dcps_lib -
! P3 - Logical name for library(ies)
""-
! P4 - Default queue parameters
"/separate=(noflag,noburst,notrail)"- ! P5 - Default queue qualifiers
