To override the frequency used by a CM, use the
cable modem change-frequency
command in
privileged EXEC mode.

Usage Guidelines
This command allows the CMTS administrator to change the downstream frequency for a CM,
overriding the DOCSIS configuration file setting. This command is not applicable on Cisco IOS
Release 12.1(3a)EC.
Examples
The following example shows how to change the downstream frequency of the CM having IP address
172.172.172.12 to 570 MHz:
router#
cable modem 172.172.172.12 change-freq 57000000
router#
