debug packetcable ipc
To enable interprocess communications (IPC) messages related to PacketCable operations on the
Cisco uBR10012 router, use the
debug packetcable ipc
command in privileged EXEC mode. To turn
off Packetcable IPC debugging, use the
no
form of this command.
debug packetcable ipc
no debug packetcable ipc

This command has no arguments or keywords.

Usage Guidelines
This command enables debugging for the IPC messages that are sent between the PRE1 module and
cable interface line cards on the Cisco uBR10012 router during PacketCable operations. This command
is not supported on the Cisco uBR7200 series router because this router does not use IPC messaging for
PacketCable operations.
Tip
On the Cisco uBR10012 router, the
debug packetcable ipc
command displays some of the debugging
messages that are displayed on other Cisco CMTS platforms by the
control
option for the
debug
packetcable gate
command.
Note
The
debug packetcable ipc
command does not display any output until you have also enabled
PacketCable debugging for one or more IP addresses using the
debug packetcable subscriber
command.
