Manual assignment takes precedence over automatic generation. That is, if you
first adopt automatic generation and then manual assignment, the manually
assigned link-local address will overwrite the automatically generated one. If you
first adopt manual assignment and then automatic generation, the automatically
generated link-local address will not take effect and the link-local address of an
interface is still the manually assigned one. If you delete the manually assigned
address, the automatically generated link-local address is validated. For manually
assignment of an IPv6 link-local address, refer to the
ipv6 address link-local
command.

ipv6-address/prefix-length
: IPv6 address and IPv6 prefix. The

format. The prefix length of an EUI-64 address cannot be greater than 64.
Description
Use the
ipv6 address
eui-64
command to configure a site-local address or global
unicast address in the EUI-64 format for an interface.
Use the
undo ipv6 address eui-64
command to remove the configured site-local
address or global unicast address in the EUI-64 format for an interface.
By default, no site-local address or global unicast address in the EUI-64 format is
configured on the interface.
An IPv6 address in the EUI-64 format consists of a specific prefix and the MAC address
of the local device, which can be displayed using the
display ipv6 interface
command.
